Wristbound mobile phones have never really taken off in the UK, but there are still companies who are showcasing what is possible with modern technology and Kempler and Strauss is the latest to do so with their W Phonewatch.

The W Phonewatch was announced in October last year, but the first live demonstrations have been performed at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
It has a built-in camera which can record video as well as shoot stills, a touchscreen interface and wireless connectivity provided via Bluetooth.
Although the Phonewatch is not likely to be adopted by any UK network, eager consumers should be able to pick one up SIM free online for the sum of around £160.
LG is one of the few other manufacturers to attempt the integration of mobile calling into a watch and observers at CES noted that this latest mobile does not quite match up to the LG alternative, but at this price point there is not too much to complain about.
