New app prevents clandestine iPhone snooping

If you don't want someone you know sneaking a quick peek at the emails and texts stored on your iPhone then you might want to download iTrust, which is an app designed to stop this happening and make a note of each time that an attempt is made to view these items.

See iTrust in action below:

Every time someone presses one of the onscreen buttons the app will make a note of the fact and it also puts up a fake screen to lock out any casual observer from your social networking and mail accounts.

The app's creator, who is a 26-year-old man from Oslo, said that he hoped the software would allow relationships to be strengthened and that it would discourage those who might try and find out more about their partners in an underhand way.

If you suspect someone of having been through your phone to look at your messages, downloading iTrust is the only way in which you will be able to actually prove it.
