With Pixar-style energy and charm and a hip soundtrack, it’s almost as cool – albeit in its own rather understated way - as the Google Nexus One ninja clip we showed you yesterday. But if we’re honest, for all that we’d taken with the ad, we do wonder whether Nokia might have been too opaque for its own good.
It seems to me that the slow take-up of apps by Nokia users is principally down to the less tech-savvy customers not really being aware of what Ovi is. So while the animation is cool, the lack of a clear message about what apps are and what the store offers you probably isn’t enough to send them running to download some software.
