Fan site Android Community has become the second online spot to get exclusive access to brand new snaps of the HTC Legend, which shows the stylish smartphone in more detail than ever before.
Viewed from the side, it looks as though the Legend could be beefier than the HTC Hero to which it bears more than a slight resemblance. With an AMOLED screen and an optical trackpad rather than a trackball, using the Legend could be more intuitive than ever.
Although HTC has yet to make any official announcements as to release dates or pricing, Android Community said that their tipster was fairly confident that it would be arriving in March this year with Android 2.1 on board.
The screen will not be 3.7-inches as previously thought, but a more manageable 3.2 and a five megapixel camera with LED flash will adorn the back as you would have come to expect from an HTC smartphone.
The source said that inside the Legend lurks a 600MHz processor from Qualcomm, which will allegedly make the Android experience even smoother than it already is on the Hero, which will be superseded upon the launch of the Legend.
