Although Vodafone has been the exclusive stockist of the BlackBerry Storm 2 since its launch back in late 2009, that exclusivity has now ended.
T-Mobile will also offer the touchscreen smartphone to its customers. At first the Storm 2 will come packaged for free with a £35 pay monthly deal, although you will need to commit to a 24 month minimum contract to get hold of this mobile phone.
For your money, T-Mobile will provide 600 inclusive minutes and 500 inclusive texts each month, which is more than enough for the majority of people.
The Storm 2 is the follow-up to Research In Motion (RIM)'s first touchscreen BlackBerry the Storm which arrived in 2008 and it improves in many ways on its predecessor.
With a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi on board it is equipped with all of the trappings that a smartphone requires to be competitive in the current market.
Whilst Vodafone had previously been the only UK operator to offer the Storm 2, it has said that it was not in any kind of binding contract ensuring exclusivity.
