Microsoft has announced that the new Bing app has already been downloaded by one million iPhone users.
A variety of new features have been added to the latest version of Bing, including advanced bookmarking techniques which allow the user to save any directions or mapping locations that they have found.
Bing users are now also able to highlight URLs and copy the text to use elsewhere, or paste in addresses as required. These can then be shared by friends via email.
Writing on his blog, Bing's Florian Voss stated: "This is a benefit for parents who want to make sure the kids are only going to safe sites on their devices."
People who are still using the original edition of the iPod Touch will now be able to download and use the Bing app, which is compatible with every generation of the iPhone.
