The business-centric Nokia E72 is set to feature in 3's smartphone line-up, it has been confirmed.

According to Sylvia Chind of 3, the network carrier was convinced to stock the mobile by eager customers who lobbied for it to be added to its range.

She said: "Over the last few months we received a number of comments about our Nokia E72 ranging decision, which isn't surprising after the success of the Nokia E71.

"The comments on our blog convinced us that bringing the Nokia E72 into our range would be the right thing to do."

The Nokia E72 offers all of the connectivity options that modern business customers require, including 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS. Free navigation via Ovi Maps will also be a key selling point.

3 customers will be able to pick up the E72 on pay monthly deals from May 2010 and is likely to score with anyone looking for an alternative to the various BlackBerry business phones.
