Nokia Ovi Store gets St Patrick's Day makeover

The Ovi Store download service has been supplemented with some new apps designed to help people enjoy St Patrick's Day.

A total of four apps based on vaguely Irish themes have appeared and each one is free to download for anyone with a Nokia handset that supports the Ovi Store.

The first app is Focal Me, which translates text from English into Gaelic, whilst the Slainte app is designed to help you home in on your nearest Irish local for a pint of the black stuff.

Two rather less practical but nonetheless enjoyable applications complete the line-up, with the Leprechaun Detector claiming to alert the user to mythical beings, whilst the Irish Mobile Flag is a fairly self-explanatory way of showing your patriotism.

Most modern Nokia handsets from the midrange upwards have Ovi Store access and you can get the four applications right now before the celebrations begin in earnest.
