Samsung is reportedly in the process of making around four brand new smartphones with Windows Phone 7 Series-compatible hardware in time for launch in the middle of 2010.
The South Korean tech giant has been a significant supporter of Microsoft's mobile platforms in the past, although the most recent flagship smartphone from the Korean firm to use Windows Mobile surfaced in the summer of 2009.
According to Mobile Review, Samsung is planning to endow one of the new smartphones with the Super AMOLED display technology that will feature on the Samsung Wave.
This will allow for high definition video playback and could also indicate that an HD video camera will be included.
Rumours suggest that a four-inch screen will feature on a Samsung Windows Phone 7 Series phone, which would allow it to nearly match up to the HTC HD2, which has a 4.3 inch screen and Windows Mobile 6.5 on board.
