Apple Garry Powell, who last week mislaid his iPhone 4G and prompted a media frenzy, has been given the chance to take a holiday in Germany.
German airline Lufthansa contacted Mr Powell via his Twitter account asking him if he wanted to come over to Munich free of charge on one of its flights to soak up a bit of the German culture and fine alcoholic beverages.
The offer has come about because Mr Powell mentioned on Twitter that he had been thoroughly enjoying German beer on the night he lost the iPhone.
Espying a chance for some free PR, Lufthansa took the opportunity to capitalise on the press storm surrounding the leaked device.
The airline's Nicola C Lange said: "We all know how frustrating it can be to lose personal items, especially when it is such a unique item."
Mr Powell has not responded to the offer and given that Apple is rumoured to have taken a very dim view of his exploits is unlikely to be holidaying any time soon.
