Weeks of speculation over the next generation iPhone will be concluded on June 7th, reports suggest, when the handset will apparently be unveiled to the world.
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WDC) is traditionally the home of all major announcements from Mr Jobs and the iPhone 4G is expected to arrive during his keynote speech on this date.
Within two weeks of the 2009 WDC the iPhone 3G S was on shelves and it could be a similar situation with the fourth edition of the popular smartphone.
The revelations about the iPhone 4G that emerged after tech site Gizmodo got its hands on a convincing prototype of the device have slightly dampened the actual event, as many believe they are already privy to all of the most important facts about the new phone.
