The HTC Mondrian looks as though it could be among the first smartphones to utilise Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 platform, after leaked data revealed further details about the new mobile.
By delving into a recently discovered Windows Phone 7 ROM file, industrious enthusiasts have come up with a fairly exciting list of technical specifications for the handset.
Among these is a large 4.3 inch touchscreen display to rival that of the HTC HD2, according to the XDA Developers Forum.
It is also believed that a 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor could be housed inside, as its chip set is the only one that can support this cutting edge, powerful CPU.
This will allow it to instantly overtake the current high end smartphones which have 1GHz Snapdragons at their heart.
HTC has not made any information about the Mondrian officially available and, until it does, all of these rumours will be completely unsubstantiated.
There is of course a chance that the details taken from the ROM were actually relating to a prototype smartphone that may never make it to the market.
