Specifications of the Samsung i5801, also variously known as the i5800 and the Galaxy 3, have leaked in a video posted online.
The Samsung i5801 uses version 2.1 of the Android operating system and industry observers believe that it is a sister phone to the Samsung Galaxy A, which has just been released in South Korea.
Other key features include support for Wi-Fi and 3G networks, a universal headphone socket and expandable storage thanks to a microSD card slot, Samsung Hub reports.
The display type featured on the i5801 is as yet unconfirmed, but the touchscreen could well be using the AMOLED technology that has been a notable feature of several recent Samsung smartphones.
If the Samsung i5801 does indeed emerge as the Galaxy 3, it will join seven other Android-based smartphones currently on sale from the Korean manufacturer.
