Sony Ericsson Aino gets update

Sony Ericsson Aino gets update

Improvements to the Sony Ericsson Aino have been made thanks to a newly updated software platform released this week.

The Aino arrived in late 2009, bringing with it the unique ability to connect to the user's PlayStation 3 and stream media directly from its hard drive from anywhere in the world.

The updated software tweaks a number of features, with the most notable improvement being an increase in the average battery life available from a single charge.

Sony Ericsson has not revealed the specifics as to how this has been achieved, but it will presumably make a marked difference for Aino owners.

The Aino's media player is now compatible with a wider set of video file formats and Sony Ericsson has also enhanced the interaction between the Aino and devices to which it is connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Anyone who downloads the update will get a free game thrown into the mix, as well as three new themes. The update is available now from the official Sony Ericsson website.
