The Android smartphones in Vodafone's current line up will all be getting access to its selection of Vodafone 360 services in the coming weeks thanks to a new app store.
The 360 Shop for Android is going to allow the likes of the newly launched Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and HTC Wildfire access to a range of new network exclusive services.
The 360 Shop will have multimedia content, ringtones and a selection of apps from which to choose. It will also have an intelligent search function to make finding the right apps a simple task.
Vodafone says that there are 8500 apps on the 360 Shop with compatibility across over 100 mobiles at this time and the arrival of the Android edition will greatly expand its current user base.
Developers want to know that their app will be seen by consumers and the 360 Shop on Android has been designed to maximise opportunities for content promotion.
Lee Epting of Vodafone said: "This is a market-leading approach which will allow both customers and developers to get great value out of the 360 Shop."
