Nokia has showcased a new charger for mobile phones that harnesses power generated by peddling a bicycle.
Provided users have enough stamina to keep their speed above eight miles per hour they will be able to keep your phone charged up thanks to a dynamo system which gets its power by pressing against the bike's tyre.
The mobile will be held in a cradle on the handlebars during transit and its developer has even said that it might be worth booting up Ovi Maps to take advantage of the free navigation while you are out and about.
This would certainly balance the drain on a battery that would be caused by perpetual navigation usage.
Commuters around the world will be able to make use of the bike charging kit from Nokia, although the device is being primarily marketed at developing nations where mains electricity might be hard to find on a regular basis.
