The carrier, which has yet to launch pre-orders for the device, will offer buyers unlimited mobile internet use on all contract options as well as unrestricted access to Wi-Fi networks.

Interested parties can pick up the 16GB edition of the phone for free from £75 per month when they sign up for a two-year contract. This entitles to them to unlimited calls and texts as well as 100 European roaming minutes and 20MB of web browsing in EU countries.

The cheapest monthly contract option is £30 per month, also over two-years, with a one-off charge of £169 for the 16GB iteration. Included in this are 150 minutes and 250 texts.

Those interested in the higher-end 32GB version can pick one up from £35 per month over 24-months, which provides 150 minutes and 250 texts every month. A charge of £269 applies for the handset.

Orange is offering tethering – the means to use the handset as a mobile broadband dongle to get online with laptops and other 3G broadband enabled devices – from £5 per month.

O2 is the only other iPhone 4 vendor to have broken cover with tariffs. Apple’s original UK iPhone partner’s cheapest monthly tariff is £25 over 24 months.

In a move that rankled with some customers, the carrier has imposed a 500MB per month data cap across all contracts.

Announcements are still being awaited from Vodafone, 3, and T-Mobile. However, a leaked test page on the Vodafone site this week suggested that Vodafone monthly tariffs will start from £30 over an 18-month contract term and that the carrier will offer mobile internet usage of 1024Mb per month.

The iPhone officially goes on sale on June 24th and differs from the current-generation 3G S with the inclusion of a powerful 1Ghz processor for efficient multi-tasking, HD video recording, a super-high resolution display, e-reader functionality, video calling and a five megapixel camera.
