Sony Ericsson is planning to launch a new smartphone and the project, which is codenamed Shakira, has been given a test drive by a tech site.
The Shakira will apparently use the Android operating system and it will sit alongside the Xperia X10 and the X10 Mini as one of the latest additions to the Xperia range.
Details about the smartphone are sparse, but it is likely that it will feature the same 1GHz processor as the full sized X10. It will also sport a high end camera and a large, high resolution touchscreen display, according to SE-Blog.
Sony Ericsson has yet to comment on the leaks.
