The HTC Tattoo is getting an updated ROM courtesy of network provider Orange, bringing the cheap and cheerful Android mobile some new features.
At the time of writing very little is known about the contents of the update. Optimistic Tattoo owners might be wondering whether Android 2.1 will be included as part of this package, although the limited technical capabilities of this entry level smartphone make this highly unlikely.
Some are suggesting that the update for the Tattoo is just a simple tweaking package that does not alter the Tattoo in any meaningful way and since the news was broken on Twitter via HTC's official profile, the information had to fit into a statement of less than 140 characters.
Hopefully Orange and HTC will get together and reveal just what this Tattoo update will bring to the table, although any news of an update for an Android mobile that sits in a pay as you go-friendly price bracket is always to be welcomed.
