Earlier in the week it was rumoured that another law firm Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff was considering launching an anti-Apple lawsuit and was looking into whether there was a reasonable case to be made.

Since appealing for affected iPhone 4 users, the firm was apparently approached by 1,400 aggrieved customers.

However, now a separate group of US lawyers Ward & Ward, PLLC and Charles A. Gilman, LLC has beaten them to it and are set to hit Apple and US carrier AT&T with a lawsuit at the District Court in Maryland.

The firm is acting on behalf of iPhone 4 owners Kevin McCaffrey, Linda Wrinn and many others.

The fact that users either have to hold the iPhone 4 in a specific manner or buy a case accessory to avoid dropping calls and weak reception has triggered criticism and outright anger from many people who spent hundreds of pounds on the new mobile.

Over 1400 iPhone 4 users got in contact with law firm Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff when it announced that it was looking into whether there was a reasonable case against Apple, with most of the responses coming from people who wanted to report their experiences with signal loss.
