After being tweaked and perfected in its pre-release beta form, the Twitter app has finally seen a full launch on the BlackBerry smartphone range.
It has taken five months for the developer to polish the app to acceptable levels and it is now available in all its glory via the BlackBerry App World.
The app is comprehensive in its features, giving avid users plenty to enjoy. Usernames will be automatically completed thanks to intelligent search functions and the topics that are currently trending will be visible on-screen to keep users up to date.
Pictures linked to in tweets using both Yfrog and Tweetphoto will be accessible from within the Twitter for BlackBerry app and the whole thing is free to download.
Twitter has become a hugely popular social media platform over the past year, but official smartphone app support has been slow in arriving, with plenty of third party firms jumping the gun.
However, after taking many of these unofficial apps under its wing, Twitter has addressed each smartphone platform one at a time.
