Android 2.2 has begun to arrive for HTC Desire smartphones owned by some Vodafone customers, according to the latest reports online.
The update is not yet automatically downloadable, so users will need to head to the Settings menu and then look under the 'About Phone' section to view any available updates.
The update is 25MB in size, so not only will you need that amount of space on your HTC Desire's storage, but you will also need to have sufficient data allowance to accommodate the download.
Early reports suggest that Vodafone 360 is completely eradicated after installing the update, although Vodafone itself claims that there are some manual uninstall steps to take for a completely fresh start.
Not every HTC Desire owner on Vodafone will, as yet, be able to download the update because Vodafone is staggering the roll-out across the UK, but there is a chance that it is ready and waiting for download on many of the high end smartphones.
