The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is available now for free on monthly contract deals from £25 per month.
The 3G tag of the Curve 9300’s title refers to the fact that the handset improves on earlier editions with 3G data speeds for an improved web browsing experience and faster downloads.
However, in keeping with the usual business focus of the BlackBerry range, the handset retains a physical QWERTY keyboard for efficient text entry and is optimised for messaging on the go thanks to push email support.
Consumer-friendly features come in the form of a two megapixel camera, one-touch access to social networking services and pre-installed BlackBerry Maps mapping software, which combines with GPS support to enable the Curve 3G to double as a satellite navigation device.
Would-be buyers can choose from pay monthly deals on Orange and T-Mobile, offering different combinations of call minutes, texts and data allowances over 24 and 18-month contracts.
Customers can also opt for offers that combine the phone and monthly usage allowance with free gifts such as a Bluetooth headset, Linksys wireless router or Sony PS3 Slim.
