HTC will be bringing HD video playback and larger, higher resolution displays to popular smartphones including the Desire in the near future.
The HTC Desire HD could be on shelves in October, complete with Android 2.2 and an eight-megapixel camera to replace the current five-megapixel unit.
The improved camera will be able to shoot video in 720p HD, while the screen will reportedly increase in size from 3.7 to 4.3 inches.
The HD-ready HTC Ace has also appeared online, this time in a video showcasing its unibody aluminium design that borrows from the HTC Legend, while offering the high-end features of the Desire and the big screen thrills of the US-only Evo 4G, according to 247 Android.
HTC is battling with South Korean manufacturer Samsung to cement its place as the creator of the best high-end Android smartphones and these latest kits only suggest that the competition is far from over.
