Augmented reality has come to the London Tube app on the Apple iPhone, with a number of new, engaging functions.
Using the iPhone's GPS and camera, users can now point the phone at anything within the capital to identify points on interest that are located within one kilometre of your position.
However, Apple smartphone owners will need to update the application with a tailored points of interest pack, with options including packs for finding a restaurant, visiting attractions and even hiring a bike.
These cost 59 pence and can be purchased within the application.
Only iPhone 4 or 3G S can access the augmented reality capabilities of the London Tube app, although the basic mapping service still works on older models.
