Microsoft has used an official outlet to distribute an image of the upcoming LG E900, also known as the Optimus 7, as it gears up for the launch of the phone later this year.
The picture of the Optimus 7 was linked in a tweet sent from Microsoft's Dutch operation and it provides a good look at the phone itself, together with the interface and features of Windows Phone 7.
One of the on-screen tiles suggests that a panoramic shooting mode will be available for the Windows Phone 7 range of smartphones, but the most controversy has been caused by the inclusion of an icon relating to Vodafone 360 services.
Microsoft later tweeted that this was not conformation of the phone's arrival with Vodafone.
The LG Optimus 7 seems to be a high quality smartphone and it looks as though Microsoft's minimum system requirements for Windows Phone 7 might actually pay off with some well designed, powerful mobiles that can compete at the top end of the market.
