Nokia users will soon be able to download a new app from supermarket chain Tesco that enables shopping .
The exclusive app, though for only a month, could be seen as a victory for the Finnish manufacturer as Tesco has passed over high profile rivals like the iPhone and the Android platform in favour of the Ovi Store download service.
Tesco customers who already have an account with its online shopping service will be able to create, update and amend their grocery shopping orders from their mobiles on a number of popular Symbian S60-based Nokia smartphones, including the N97 and 5230.
Tesco previously launched an app for the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones giving customers the chance to collect points for their Clubcard account using an onscreen barcode system, though nothing as sophisticated as a full online shopping app has been released for any of Nokia's rivals at this time.
