The Nokia N8 is reportedly destined for a UK launch on the 26th of August, according to two major online retailers.
Both Play and MobileFun have put a £420 price tag on the SIM free version of the N8, as well as stating that preorders for the phone could be delivered as early as the 31st of August.
At this price point the N8 is almost exactly the same price as the Android-based Samsung Galaxy S and slightly costlier than the popular HTC Desire. All three smartphones cost less than the 16GB model of the iPhone 4.
The N8 sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and a 12-megapixel camera, which outpaces anything else on the market thanks to its HD video capture and impeccable stills credentials.
Although Nokia has not confirmed this launch date, it is holding an event in mid-September at a London location, with rumours suggesting that this will be the venue for the full unveiling of the N8.
