A previously unseen Samsung smartphone with Windows Phone 7 onboard has been spotted in the wild, with distinct differences from previously rumoured mobiles.
The Samsung Cetus is already the subject of considerable speculation and will be arriving in the US this autumn with a large four-inch display and curvy design.
A picture of a new Samsung smartphone was posted on Twitter by the user @andrejt differing in appearance from the Cetus, with a rather more slate-like, sharp-edged style.
Little information can be gleaned from the limited images, but it seems as though the unidentified Samsung smartphone is using AMOLED display technology as with the current crop of high end mobiles and it is certainly running Windows Phone 7, according to Pocket Now.
Interestingly there is a complete lack of a forward-facing camera, which could mean that video calling will be unavailable and which might suggest that this is a mid-range Windows Phone 7 smartphone targeting a mainstream audience.
On the other hand, it could simply be a prototype used to outline the basic functions of the platform.
