Vodafone is Britain’s best brand, according to marketing industry experts.
The mobile carrier based in Berkshire beat HSBC and Tesco in to second and third places respectively to head up Brand Finance’s annual list of top 50 brands in the country.
Brand Finance said: "Vodafone has done very well this year because of its performance globally."
Vodafone group reported a 1.1 per cent increase in revenues for the first quarter after recent restructuring and cost-cutting measures.
French-owned carrier Orange came in fourth place, while Spanish-owned O2 trailed behind in 16th place.
Other brands in the annual study include troubled oil giant BP, which managed to claimed seventh place despite the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
