The HTC Desire HD will officially go on sale on October 8th, it has been revealed, setting up a handset sales battle with the Nokia N8.
Pre-orders for both phones have already started. However, Mobiles.co.uk has told Electric Pig that they will both go on sale officially on the same day in two weeks time.
Free from £30 per month, the Android powered HTC Desire HD is the follow-up to HTC’s biggest selling phone ever and offers an eight megapixel camera with HD video recording as well as an expansive four-inch screen.
Nokia’s challenger the N8 is available free from £25 per month and is the debut handset to run the Symbian 3 operating system.
Features of the latest addition to the NSeries range of high-end smartphones include a 12 megapixel camera, a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and a media player with Dolby Digital surround sound.
