The Shazam iPhone app has been given a major revamp, bringing with it a host of sweet new features.
Chief among the improvements to the music discovery software is the arrival of iOS4 multi-tasking, so that users can now make and take calls while listening to music, instead of having to close the app as was previously the case.
Also new is a feature that enables music fans to tag songs upon launching the app to make it easy to find out the name of a song even if it’s about to end.
And to help you keep track of what’s not and what’s not, users will now be sent a regular chart which monitors the week’s most-tagged tracks. Plus, there’s an all-new preview section that lets you hear clips of tunes before buying them on iTunes.
Along with the likes of Angry Birds, Shazam has consistently been near the top of the iPhone app charts since launch. As of June this year, it had been downloaded 1.5 million times.
