The latest flagship smartphone from Nokia may not be delayed, at least not everywhere, as we reported last week.
In fact, the handset may only be five days away (or four, counting today) from release, according to My Nokia Blog, which posted an image of a poster stand taken in Manchester in front of a Nokia dealership.
The N8’s official release date was placed in doubt after reports emerged of a month's delay immediately after the Nokia World event last week.
However, the marketing campaign for the handset seems to be unaffected as ads are being spotted throughout the country in bus stops, stations and newspapers.
Nokia maintains that the handset will be released as planned before the end of the month from the Nokia online store and through retail from October 1st. Although, if the poster on the image is to be believed, some shops may not only be stocking up on the handset but could even be breaking the official street date a week before launch.
The N8 is the first ever smartphone running on the Symbian3 platform. It packs a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and is capable of high-definition video recording.
