Nokia is ramping up its marketing campaign for the Nokia N8 with a viral spot featuring hamsters charging up its battery.

Filmed in a spoofy fly-on-the-wall documentary style, the clip shows Elvis the hamster pressed into action on an activity wheel in his cage in aid of a young tech fan’s GCSE Science project.
The clip has surfaced ahead of the handsets official launch later this month at the Nokia World event on September 14th.
The handset is then widely expected to go on sale on the 23rd, initially exclusively on Nokia site and solely as a SIM free handset.
As well as marking the debut of Nokia’s latest Symbian 3 operating system, the N8 sports a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and HD video recording.
Also onboard is a physical QWERTY keyboard for speedy text entry, a secondary camera for video calling and expandable memory of up to 32GB.
Tech industry observers have posited that the phone could be a make or break handset for Nokia, as it looks to recover market share of the competitive high-end smartphone sector recently lost to HTC and Apple.
