Footage of a rare as hen’s teeth Star Trek communicator phone from Nokia has surfaced on a Trekker fansite.

The prototype handset, which contains the innards of the N76, was one of just 14 made, alongside the fondly remembered 5800 Star Trek Edition.
However, while the 5800 was granted a full commercial release, the custom build N76 never appeared on shelves and was little seen until a fanboy acquired one on eBay.
The lucky owner, one Michael Fisher, has filmed the handset working and posted the results on TrekMovie.com, showing off the brass grill and iconic flip phone form factor in all its retro futurist glory.
Alas, if you want the handset you’re looking at a pretty substantial outlay – that’s if you can even find one. But don't cry into your smartdrinks just yet. I'm sure if the Trekkers lobby hard enough, you might just be able to persuade Nokia to give a newer handset a Star Trek remix.
