The Samsung Cetus i917 has apparently been spotted in action in a video, giving keen-eyed tech fans a glimpse of what the Windows Phone 7 platform could bring to the smartphone table.

The snatched video, which is courtesy of Microsoft’s Channel 9, features Charlie Kindel, program manager for Windows Phone 7 treating viewers to some of the platform’s features.
To do so, about 15 minutes in he reveals a handset that bears a more than passing resemblance to the Samsung Cetus i917, allowing users a good look at its user interface.
Mr Kindel goes on to talk viewers through an app created for the handset that enables him to close his garage door remotely and reveals it’ll also allow him to adjust lighting and heating in his des res.
The Samsung Cetus is home to a four-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a five-megapixel camera, secondary camera for video calls as well as Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and Wi-F support.
A UK release date is yet to be confirmed, but availability details are expected to become clearer after Microsoft officially unveils the OS on October 11th.
