Acer has showcased a new Android smartphone offering a blend of business functionality and entertainment on the go at a mid-range price.
The Liquid Metal will feature Android 2.2 out of the box, plus a Qualcomm 7230 800MHz processor and Acer’s HTC Sense-aping custom user interface for a far from ruinous SIM free price point of £299.
It’s also home to a 3.6-inch WVGA multi-touch display for enjoying movies on the onboard media player, as well as Dolby Surround Sound and the full gamut of connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi and HSDPA.
And the Liquid Metal is no slouch when it comes to imaging capabilities, packing a five megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording in spanking high definition.
UK smartfans wil be able to get their hands on the phone from mid November in its brown colourway, but will have to wait until December for the silver variant.
