Acer has unveiled a slate of 10-inch netbooks capable of running both Microsoft’s Windows 7 and Google’s Android operating systems.
The Aspire One ‘Happy’ netbook range comes in a choice of colours with names you’d normally expect to hear in a Dulux showroom, such as ‘candy pink’ and ‘Hawaii blue’.
While netbooks and tablets running dual operating systems aren’t new, what sets Acer’s effort apart from others is the ability to switch OS on the fly, without needing to restart the device.
Acer hopes that the vibrant colours will “transform this netbook into a fashion statement" for style conscious users.
The netbook runs Android 2.1 and has built-in Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. But more importantly it comes with an expansive 10.1-inch display, 250GB storage, 2GB RAM, plus a dual-core Intel Atom processor for smooth running of applications, making this an all round impressive device for fashionistas and tech-heads alike.
The Aspire One Happy is currently retailing for £249.99 in the UK.
