The Halloween edition of Angry Birds will be updated with new levels and features, Rovio has announced.
The special version of the title arrived in the iPhone App Store just over a week ago and was thought to be intended as a one-off. It was very much not expected that Rovio would support its spooky take on the series with regular updates as it does with the standard version.
However, the games maker has revealed via its Twitter feed that it will be adding new features and levels to the Halloween version too. Presumably these will be annual to coincide with All Hallows' Eve, however, so won’t be anything like as frequent.
In response to a Tweet from follower lance_evans1 asking if updates were on the way, Rovio said: “Yes, we'll do something for that”.
Earlier this week, Rovio revealed that the Mighty Eagle that features in the Nokia N8 version of the casual gaming phenom is also on its way to the iPhone with the next update, which is expected early November.
The Mighty Eagle enables players to clear levels they are stuck on, but can only be used a limited number of times.
