Angry Birds, the highly addictive puzzler that has set the mobile gaming world alight has received another major update for the iOS version.
Chief among the new features are Game Centre support, which is essentially Apple’s equivalent of Xbox Live and lets you unlock achievements and share your scores on the global leaderboards. The visuals are also given a fresh coat of paint to take advantage of the iPhone 4’s Retina display.
And if that wasn’t enough, the update also adds a 15 new levels for even more bird-flinging mayhem. And the best part is it doesn't cost you a penny.
Angry Birds has been downloaded over six million times on Apple devices alone and has already spawned toys and animated movie deals. Its popularity has even attracted the attention of famous personalities including Paul Gascoigne and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
The game costs 59p for the iPhone and iPod touch version and comes with nearly 200 stages giving you more value for your money than a pack of crisps ever will.
