Palm Pre and Pixi owners can look forward to new levels for Angry Birds next month, games devs Rovio has revealed.
Responding to an entreaty from a Pre enthusiast on its Twitter feed, the company behind the casual gaming sensation disclosed that although there is “no exact eta” for an update to the webOS edition, it is “hoping to do an update early November”.
The title, which charges players with commanding a team of avenging avians looking for sweet revenge on green pigs who’ve purloined their eggs, landed on handsets running webOS 1.4.5 in August.
Yesterday, Rovio also announced that it is planning an as yet unspecified “special treat” for the iPhone version, ahead of an official update which is expected to hit Apple smartphones around the same time as the webOS update.
The breakout success of Angry Birds was sealed yesterday when the Times ran a double-page feature examining the phenomenon and naming its famous fans, which include PM David Cameron and faded footballer Gazza.
