The technical specifications for the upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphone, the HTC Mozart, have been leaked online.
The folks over at Coolsmartphone discovered a support page for the Mozart on the Orange website, which listed an impressive array of features we can expect from the melodically titled blower later this month when it is reportedly due to land on the network, according to a screenshot grabbed by Engadget from a product listing on the Phones4U website.
Features of the Mozart include a 3.7-inch TFT LCD panel with an 800x480 pixel resolution, a 1GHz processor, an eight-megapixel snapper with Xenon flash and HD video recording capabilities. There is also 8GB internal storage. Though it’s unclear whether a memory card slot is onboard to expand that amount further.
Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft’s attempt to reignite the Windows platform in the smartphone space as it continues to be eclipsed by the likes of Android and iPhone. It boasts a radically new user interface and integration with Xbox Live and various social networks out of the box.
The first batch of Windows Phone 7 smartphones is set to officially launch on October 11th. Microsoft is also rumoured to be planning a string of events on October 26th to unveil launch details in Europe.
