A forward-thinking designer has seen the future of iPhones. And it doesn’t involve a handset whatsoever.

Lee Kwon’s iPhone Next G concept for future generations of Apple smarties is essentially a pico projector encased in a wristband. The projector displays a rendering of touchscreen user interface on users’ hands, through which all the phone’s apps can be accessed and activated.

On the wristband part of the device are a selection of physical buttons, with which you’d be able to take and end calls and power the phone on and off.

There’s also the option to make the size of the projected display larger, depending on the dimensions of the surface on which the display is being shown.

Back in the real world of Apple products, it was this week claimed that Apple is currently working on a new edition of its handset for US network Verizon. As well as being CDMA compatible, it will reportedly feature a 1.2GHz processor and an internal aerial.
