Video game fans rejoice! Gaming-centric social network Raptr has released an official app for the iPhone.
It allows players on various online gaming services such as Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam to share their gaming activity with friends.
Raptr users are able to automatically post their gaming updates on Twitter to notify friends when they are playing a certain game, have unlocked in-game achievements or have beaten their chums' score.
Activity streams are updated in real-time and shows exactly which friends are online and what they are currently playing, so you can rush home and join them, though not advisable if you’re out shopping with your wife or girlfriend.
Other key features include the ability to exchange Raptr and Xbox Live messages via a unified mailbox, automatic synchronisation of your friends lists and multitasking support for iOS4.
We wouldn't be surprised if a future update allowed users to share their iPhone gaming activities also.
The app is free to download from the iTunes store.
