T-Mobile has begun taking pre-orders for the Samsung Omnia 7, offering consumers the chance to get onboard with Microsoft’s much-anticpated Windows Phone 7 smartphone platform from day one.
Tech fanciers can pick up the handset for free from £35 per month over a two-year contract. Alternatively, if you prefer an 18-month contract, you’re looking at £40 per month.
Pre-ordered phones will be despatched by T-Mobile to arrive on the smartphone’s official day of release, October 21st, which will also see the full gamut of WP7-powered handsets hit the shelves.
Unveiled last month at Microsoft press calls in New York and London, the Samsung Omnia 7 packs in the same four-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display as the Samsung Galaxy, plus a five-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.
Also onboard is a 1GHz processor for super slick multi-tasking, built-in Zune music and video player, push email and Microsoft Office packages to make it easy to attend to work while you're on the move.
