Android Angry Birds fans now have a further 45 challenges to get through, with the much-anticipated release of Rovio’s update for its massive-selling casual gaming sensation.
The revamped edition of the game also brings with it support for lower-end Android smartphones with QVGA displays, meaning that owners of the likes of the HTC Wildfire can finally get onboard with the avenging avians.
And, natch, there are some fixes attached too. Specifically, the update addresses problems such as “the blank screen issue on Android 1.6 devices, and the white textures appearing on certain devices”.
The fresh batch of levels update means there is now a whopping 195 stages for Fandroids to play their way through, including a new episode dubbed the Big Setup. This charges you and your flying friends with laying waste to a construction yard operated by those meta-irritating laughing pigs.
You can lay your hands on Angry Birds redux now from Android Market or GetJar. Best get in soon, though. When the game first dropped on Android last month, GetJar crashed within a matter of hours under the sheer weight of demand.
