Owners of Nokia’s latest Symbian 3 smartphones can look forward to 45 new levels of Angry Birds, after games maker Rovio announced via its Twitter feed that the same update that hit Android phones earlier this week is on the way to the Nokia N8 and C7.
The free update will presumably also bring the much-trumpeted Big Setup episode to the handsets, which transposes the title’s pig-punishing action to a construction yard.
The addition of the new 45 new stages will bring the total number of challenges to play through to 150. That’s less than Android Angry Birds, who post-update have 195 levels. But that’s still plenty of game to get through, we’re saying.
And of course, if Rovio’s previous hints are anything to go by there ought to be a special festive edition of the game for the Symbian 3 platform too. We certainly can’t see them bringing it to Android and iPhone and leaving Nokia out of the festive party.
Like the recently released Halloween version for the iPhone, however, the Christmas version most likely won’t be a free update, but an entirely separate game.
