Infinity Blade, debut iPhone title from Epic Games subsidiary ChAIR Entertainment will be going on sale on sale on December 9th for a modest price of £3.99, according to Pocket Gamer.
The ‘action RPG’, formerly known as Project Sword, was first shown off as a tech demo at an Apple press conference back in September and instantly impressed with its razor sharp graphics, rendered using the same Unreal 3 engine used in some of the biggest console titles out there, including Epic's own Gears of War franchise.
A trailer has since revealed game’s hotly anticipated gameplay, which involves sword fights against giant bosses, not to mention the superb visuals and silky smooth framerate.
The game will be fully compatible with Game Center, meaning you’ll be able to take on a friend over online multiplayer. Players will also earn experience points from completing quests, which can be used to enhance their characters’ attributes as well as purchase new armour, weapons and items.
We are positively bowled over by how brilliant this game looks and more importantly, how well it seems to play if the trailer is any indication. December 9th can't come soon enough.
