Samsung’s iPad challenger the Galaxy Tab has finally gone on sale in the UK today, as competition in the nascent slate space begins to heat up.
UK tech fans can choose from a range of price points and data allowances across all major networks.
The cheapest upfront charge currently on offer is a far from ruinous £99 when you sign up with Three at £40 per month. That’ll give you 5GB of data to get through monthly.
Features of the Tab include a large seven-inch screen fashioned from the same super robust Gorilla Glass as the iPhone 4’s display and the latest, greatest version of Android out of the box.
It also packs two front and rear facing cameras for video calling, plus Flash player support so you’ll be able to indulge in all your favourite casual games online.
In a bid to distinguish its offering from the slew of tablets running Google’s OS due next year, Samsung this week announced it had inked deals with the Financial Times, WHSmith and Gameloft for exclusive content.
