UberTwitter, which may not be a familiar name to iFans but is to millions of BlackBerry users, has been released for the iPhone.
Serving more ten million Tweets each day, UberTwitter is one of the most popular Twitter clients around for smartphones and has long been a BlackBerry exclusive. It has been finally rolled out for the iPhone in beta form.
While it’s not much different from a plethora of Twitter apps already out on the App Store, what makes UberTwitter stand out from the pack is the UberView interface, which enables users to visit links within tweets without leaving the app.
The decision to expand UberTwitter’s user base is not surprising after Twitter released its own official app for BlackBerry and its rival platforms and has been hugely successful. With the upcoming full release, version 1.0, UberTwitter will be ready to take the fight back to Twitter for market domination.
The beta version of UberTwitter is available now on iTunes as a free download.
